We're delighted to be celebrating our first anniversary this month. Its been a great experience and we would like to say a huge thank you to all our lovely guests over the last twelve months. Some times its undoubtedly been hard work but its also been very rewarding and great fun at times too. If you haven't yet visited us then we look forward to seeing you someday soon. Cheers!

Super, super fresh eggs

One of the things that our guests seem to appreciate most is the quality of our breakfasts. We source our thick sliced bacon and meaty pork sausages from a local supplier just a mile away. We try and use the best quality ingredients at all times (Heinz baked beans, farmhouse bread and vine ripened tomatoes for example) and everything is cooked freshly to order. And of couse our eggs all come from our own hens. Our home produced eggs look and taste so much better than shop bought ones. The yolks are much more orange and of course they are fantastically fresh, often eaten within 24 hours of being laid. The AA were kind enough to award us an Eggcup award for our breakfasts, why dont you book a stay with us and see for yourself.

The Inspector Called!
The Inspector Called!

January 21st 2014

We had our visit from the AA inspector recently. She was completely incognito during the whole of her visit and only revealed herself at the very end of her stay. We then sat down to discuss her findings and I have to say she was absolutely chaming, constructive and helpful. All in all we got a lot of very valuable feedback which we have already started to implement. Not at all the daunting experience I was expecting. We were delighted with the rating, four stars with a gold award and a special AA Breakfast award recognising the high quality, locally sourced breakfast that we offer. Overall a very positive experience and we are proud to feature the award on our homepage.

It is just three months since we opened our Country House Bed and Breakfast here in Pinkneys Green near Maidenhead and it has been a really exciting time for us. We've had a few trials and tribulations along the way as you would expect, but we are so pleased with the response and feedback from our guests that its all been very worthwhile. Well our first few weeks running a B&B between Maidenhead and Marlow are now behind us, its been a really great experience and people seem to like what we're offering. We've had two reviews, one on TripAdvisor and one on Laterooms and its so nice to get positive feedback. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. We genuinely welcome all comments as we strive to be as good as we can. Our third bedroom (pictured) is nearly ready for occupation. Just some final furnishing to sort out. It should be up and running next week.

STOP PRESS - October 8th 2013

We are really excited that the Stag and Hounds, a popular local pub just 300 yars from us, is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and has recruited a fantastic new chef. It's set to re-open as the Pinkneys Arms in the next couple of weeks, a destination gastro pub (but at sensible pices) with a large restaurant at the back. The new menu sounds fantatsic. Our guests will now be able to enjoy a casual stroll to a really fabulous place to eat, drink and be merry, making Pinkneys Court Mews an even better place to enjoy a relaxing time in the country. But if you do eat there make sure you leave some room for our Royal Berkshire Breakfast the next day!

Countdown to launch!
Countdown to launch!

September 28th 2013

Well the building work is coming to an end (at long last!) and we hope to open our bed and breakfast at the beginning of October. We're going to start with just two rooms (both ensuite) and will be experimenting with different food concepts and suppliers before we launch. Its been a long slog with all the various builders and not without the usual headaches but we're really happy with the overall result.

We've started furnishing the bedrooms and buying in some of the things we'll need before we open and have also been busy working on this website and our Facebook page. All the internal photographs will have to be done as soon as the bedrooms are finished and we'll update the website straight away.

In the meantime we've been looking after the bureaucracy too - registering the the local authority and getting listed with various tourist organisations.

With only a few weeks till we open our doors for business its going to be very hectic but we're very excited about what we're doing and really looking forward to welcoming our first guests.
